About Teri

Artrageous Desserts began as a means of self expression. Teri (Chef) Scheff is an award winning sculptor with a culinary degree from Cincinnati State Technical College, a 3 year certificate in ceramics from California College of Arts and Crafts and a BFA in ceramics from the University of Cincinnati.

With Teri’s art background, her need for self expression could not be suppressed. In 1990, she began her journey from a ceramic sculptor to a cake sculptor. During this time period, Teri was the Pastry Chef for the first Cincinnati Macaroni Grille. By 1997, Teri knew she would have to venture out on her own to create at her full potential. In January 1999 she opened her first full line bakery. By 2007, Teri realized she wanted to spend more time concentrating on cakes. So she closed shop and began renting space at a reception hall to do just that. Today, she produces cakes for any and all occasions. Small pickup desserts, which she is also known for, are still available for large functions such as weddings or corporate events.

Custom designs are a natural for Teri with her background in art and design. If she can see it, she can build it. From wedding cakes to cupcake cakes to the Taj Mahal, let Teri at Artrageous Desserts create a special cake for you.

Please visit the galleries to see what possibilities await. Due to the large number of cakes that have been produced, not all are available to see online. As always, please feel free to contact us to see how we may make your special day a memorable one.
